As we celebrate our country ’s independence and the spirit which is so uniquely American, we remember Seybold manufacturing. Founded in 1892 in Cincinnati, Ohio, by Charles Seybold, the plant was a complete factory consisting of a foundry, pattern shop, engineering and manufacturing offices, machine shop and assembly area. Charles Seybold, a German immigrant, came to the U.S. and through much hard work and determination built a machine and a reputation that is known worldwide today. The shop closed in 1973 but the excellence of the machinery is still alive and well.
On America ’s Birthday, Colter and Peterson pays tribute to the founding fathers of our nation as well as the pioneering spirit of early innovators like Charles Seybold who helped shape our industry into what it is today!
